The prime objective of this Biotechnology (Honors) course is to prepare graduates for challenging careers in the biotechnology industry and lay a strong foundation for higher study and research in this subject.

The students are given an in depth knowledge into this fascinating branch of science which holds great promise in beneficial application in genetic engineering, protein engineering, plant tissue culture, animal cell culture, immunology etc.
The students are offered a specialization in the field of medical and genetic aspect of biotechnology. The eighth semester concentrates on project work.
