Experience
Dr. Rajavel had his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 from the Bharathidasan University Trichy  ,Tamilnadu .  He has more than 11 years of teaching and research experience. He started his career as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at Mahendra Engineering College, Salem in the year 1998.  Dr. Rajavel has completed his Master Degree in Thermal Engineering In the year 2002; he joined as a senior lecturer at Kongu Engineering College, Erode, Tamilnadu.   In the year 2004, he joined Ph. D programme in Anna University Chennai and completed in 2009.  He joined as a Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at SRM University .In the year 2009..  Dr. Rajavel published 11 research papers in Journals, International and National Conference. He has guided around 30 projects at both UG and PG level. His software interests are in Fluent, Auto CAD, Pro-E, and Solid Edge. He is also well versed in some computer languages. He is a member of Indian Society for Technical Education.  He is the reviewer in international journal of Thermal Engineering.   Currently Dr. Rajavel is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at, Manipal University Dubai Campus.
Areas of Interest in teaching
At Manipal University Dubai Campus, he is teaching Basic Engineering Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Turbo machines courses.
