Guest Lectures 

  • Mr. Chendil Kumar, Chief Catalyst, CK Consultants, Bangalore delivered a lecture on “Emotional Intelligence” for second year Engineering students  and “Campus to Corporate” for first year Engineering students on 5th April, 2010
  • ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers), Manipal University, Dubai Student Branch was inaugurated on 18th October 2010. On the same day Dr. Victor Goldschmidt, Emeritus Mechanical Engineering Professor, Purdue University (Indiana) delivered the ASHRAE distinguished lecture on “Sustainability, Energy Sources and Implications in the context of Power Plants” followed by question and answer session. Mr. B. S. Prashanth, President of ASHRAE Falcon Chapter spoke about the job opportunities of young Engineers in the field of HVAC & R.
  • Training & Placement Cell of the department has organized a Lecture on “Developing a Success Oriented Mindset” by Dr. Anand Menon, CEO and Business Excellence Partner, Empowered Performance FZ LLC, on 9th December 2010.

 

  • ASHRAE students branch of the department organized a seminar on “Net Zero Energy Building” by Mr. Muhammad Ali, ASHRAE Student Activities Chair, Dubai on 16th December 2010.

 

  • Mr. Aditya, Coordinator of Internship programs at Microsol International LL FZE gave a presentation on 23rd December 2010 about the internship opportunities available for Engineering students at Microsol.  


First year students attended an interactive and inspiring lecture on “SUCCESS ENGINEERING: Designing the purpose of life” by Dr.Anand Menon - Superstars on 15th December 2011. He enlightened the ideals, goals and individual power for choosing successful path.

Distinguished speakers from Al Reyami Group Mr. Rajesh Mathias G.M, Operations & Mr. Prakash Menon, Div. Manager delivered lectures on “LEED concept and application” and “Emerging Trends in Interiors and Professional Challenges” respectively on 16th November 2011. These lectures were arranged for all Civil Engineering students to give a prospective approach in interior-engineering and their role in reducing carbon foot print.
