Mr. Biswarupa Mohanty joined the fashion industry as a Designer, after his graduation in Fashion Design from NIFT, New Delhi. He associated himself with reputed names of the Indian Fashion fraternity like Rohit Bal, Satya Paul, JJ Valaya, Ritu Kumar, Sandy Starkman and Madhu Jain. His passion for art and Diploma in Fine arts helped him to explore different facets of design, which enabled him to take up various freelance projects. He undertook Graphic Design, Textile Design, Trend Forecasting, Product design and Styling for names like Metamorphosis, Indian Airlines, NIFT, City Look, Creative Impex, Mona Design, Ishwar, IDI exports, Accents for Living, Grand box, Swarovski India etc. After an enriching experience of 7 years in the Indian fashion industry he went to Italy to pursue his Masters in Fashion and Textile design.
The interactive study pattern at Istituto  Europeo di Design, Milan gave him a fresh perspective of looking at fashion. He worked with an Italian Design Lab as an assistant designer and gained an insight into the Italian Fashion industry by working for some reputed international brands like D&G, Valentino, Allessandro Dell Aqua, Raphael Lopez and Marni. His passion for exploring the unknown earned him a paid internship at Maxpell srl. as a designer.  Here, he worked with the leather furnishing brand Monaca’s summer collection for Salone Del Mobile, the international furniture fair in the year 2007.
 As a senior Lecturer, in the Fashion Design Department of Manipal University, he feels privileged to share his knowledge and ideas of fashion, gained over the years through intensive research and study combined with his experience in the fashion industry.
