I am working for Emirates Group IT, working on Oracle Applications as a Techno-functional resource. I have undergone Oracle SQL, D2K Forms and Reports training with New Horizons Institute for 3 weeks, along with 14 other graduates. This training was sponsored by Emirates. Then I went through a boot-camp training session with an expert from Oracle Bangalore, and I got trained for Oracle Financials and Order Management. I am currently working on Procurement & Logistics side of Oracle apps, which has a lot to do with Supply Chain Management. I have almost completed 18 months in this company, and will be shifting position from Software Engineer trainee to Grade 6 Software Engineer. I can safely say that the experience I have gained here is remarkable. I have dealt with a lot of people, from the business side of Emirates as well as our own technical teams. It's amazing to be part of such a huge organisation - just the IT department comprises of a sizable number of employees. My team has a mixture of gurus, those of mediocre functional expertise, and people who are learning, like me. I want to continue studying and apply for Masters in Supply Chain and Logistics, but I still have to look for the right university. I miss college only because of the fun that we used to have as a small class with people like Mathew, Adrian, Kaizad etc, the faculty whose legs we would pull during picnics, the knowledge that was handed down by our faculty, and the amazing farewell given to us by our juniors. I still enjoy and have the same amount of fun and frolic with my colleagues here in the office. I do not miss Academic city as much as I miss KV. I still wish to this day that hadn't move! I have a lot more memories of that place ... it was where we, as class started our journey to becoming what we are today. I wish that it had finished there as well. But I highly appreciate all the efforts that were put in by our faculty, into shaping our future and making sure that we got what we always needed.

"Just to reintroduce myself, I am the implementation consultant for the wide arrays of software on offer
The above was just one introduction to many of clients that I have implemented the software projects, for in near perfect last 10 months of my tenure, at Barcode Gulf LLC. American University of Dubai: Bar-coding Fixed Asset Management Solution, for all their assets at their premises, Abu Dhabi Municipality: Fixed Asset Management for all assets in AUH - Government owned mosques 1 schools I buildings throughout AUH, Dubai Aluminum: Bar-coding, Anode I Cathode Rod Tracking Application at the aluminum manufacturing plants in DUBAL! Wondering what's going to be next? It's UASC - Kuwait (Current Project), Qatar Petroleum. Petroleum Engineering School – Qatar. I have been physically present in my office for barely one month, in last 10 months. l keep travelling, something that I liked! And I get to meet a lot of different people from ADMlN I FINANCE I IT of all the major commands. I have learnt to build up relationships with a lot of important people in my sphere of work. That is something that is crucial, I believe.
The best part of my work is that I dont just programme 4 code, something I found I shouldn't be restricted to, just after the completion of my internship days at Media One, LLC - as a web programmer. My recommendations include best practices methodologies which will suit to their policies and procedures. The journey until now has been more of' a learning process, than providing any!. I want to whole heartedly thank the institution for what I am today. Today, I am just content, that I am playing an important role, within the industry I had chosen for learning. My job provides me the freedom to put to use my own ideas and consult the various strata of the society with my learnt IT techniques to make life easier for them.
