Ameeta Kale
Masters in Urban Design, B.Arch.
Experience
After completing her formal education in Architecture from M.M.C.A, Pune University in which her dissertation, “Redevelopment of the Shivajinagar Police Headquarters,”was ranked second, Ameeta Kale worked with Iqbal Cheney and Associates for a year and thereafter went to join the Masters programme in Urban Design from School of Architecture, C.E.P.T, Ahmedabad in 1992.
 
The emphasis of study being the Ghats of the Godavari, she completed her thesis by studying the hierarchy of open spaces from micro to a macro level within the city of Nasik.
 
With a masters degree in hand, Ameeta  worked and taught at M.M.C.A, Pune for a period of 2 years and in 1995 came to Dubai along with her husband to explore prospects in Urban Design and Architecture.
 
Harland Bartholomew, Artec, Cinmar Design and Copenhagen Group were some of the organisations where she offered services over a span of 10 years and then started her own professional practice.
 
Having designed over 40 different commercial projects in the entire Gulf region, Ameeta Kale taught at the Institute of Interior Design, Dubai for almost 2 years..
 
She is an active member of the Maharashtra Mandal and represented the  Working Committee of Maharashtra Mandal Dubai, 2008-09.  Ameeta has represented and captained the Hockey team of the Sharjah tigers from 1997 -1999.
 
She has been a part of the faculty with the Interior Design Department, Manipal University, Dubai ampus since September 2007.
