Experience

She is an Architect and Interior designer, with 29 years of professional experience. She is a registered member of the Council of Architects in New Delhi, India and an associate of Indian Institute of Architects, India.

 

She graduated from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai, India. Her fields of interests are Research, Landscape architecture, Building services and Design.Her research topic taken during M. Arch.  was on sustainable housing with eco-friendly support systems for the world’s largest river island, Majuli, (Assam) in India, which emphasized Bamboo Architecture - the “green gold”.One of her professional achievements was being one of the five Finalists in the All India Indoor stadium design competition, held in 1984 organized by Alwar Town Authority, Rajasthan. India.

 

She taught Architecture and Interior Design as a visiting faculty in Mumbai, India since 2001. Parallel to her teaching, she has also worked as an Interior designer freelancer and has executed several diversified interior projects in Mumbai before joining Manipal University, Dubai as a full time senior lecturer in 2009.
