It is mandatory for all students to have a valid U.A.E. residence visa to study at Manipal University Dubai (MUD). The UAE Visa is facilitated by MUD for education only and students are not permitted to work.

Documents required for new UAE Student Residence Visa

• A Student Enrolment Contract duly signed by the student

• Original Bank Statement for Dhs.30,000/- or equivalent as per the enclosed DKV guidelines along with 2 copies.

• Photo copy of the Passport with the validity period of 6 months - 5 Copies

• Photocopy of Mark sheet of 12 th or equivalent - 2 Copies

• Passport Size Photos -12 Nos.

• Original fee payment receipt of current semester tuition and visa fees

• Fee payment receipt of Dhs. 250/- towards mandatory JAWAZ card issued by DKV & DIAC along with the JAWAZ card application form duly filled and signed.

• Original passport with cancellation papers for in-country & local amendment. (For students already in UAE)

Please note:

The student residence visa is valid for one year and is subsequently renewable every year. The issue of fresh visa and renewal of visa are subject to the submission of necessary documents and as per rules and regulations of MUD, DKV, DIAC, Department of Naturalization & Residency Dubai (DNRD), Ministry of Health and Govt. of UAE . MUD is in no way responsible for any delay or non issuance of new visa or rejection of visa renewal by the Govt. of U.A.E.

A medical examination as prescribed by Ministry of Health (MOH) / DNRD in the specified government hospitals after the student’s arrival in UAE. A multiple entry visa is then stamped on their passport. The medical examination and the related process usually take 6 – 9 weeks. If any student is declared medically unfit by MOH/DNRD the visa has to be cancelled immediately.
