In a formal function that began at 4:00 pm, graduating students were handed over their degree certificates upon successful completion of their course. The event also included the distribution of the scholarships for the girl students. His Excellency Vipul, Consul General of India to Dubai and Northern Emirates; Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General, KHDA; and Mr Mohammad Abdullah, Managing Director, DKP & DIAC graced the occasion with their presence as the Guests of Honour. 

The event started with professional music performance followed by the recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran. This was followed by the UAE Anthem, the India National Anthem, and the Manipal song. Vice-Chancellor Dr Vinod Bhat began the formal function with the Declaration, followed by the welcome address by Dr SV Kota Reddy, Academic President, MUDC. Dr Narayan Sabahit, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education also attended the marquee event. 

Other dignitaries who graced the occassion with their presence included Dr Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education Services; Dr Ranjan Pai, CEO & MD, Manipal Education and Medical Group; Mrs Shruti Pai; Mr Vaitheeswaran S, CEO & MD, Manipal Global Education Services; Mr Ravi Panchnadan, CEO, Manipal Education, Dubai; and Mr Niranjan Jayakumar, Head - Manipal Education MENA & Head - Distributed Learning, Manipal Global Education Services.
