About

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, MAHE Dubai is organizing its 1st Hybrid International Student Research Colloquium on May 12th and May 17th, 2023.

This interdisciplinary hybrid research colloquium creates a research platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students and opens avenues for dialogue across disciplines in humanities and social sciences. The colloquium calls for papers and posters across several tracks to include the major areas of research currently explored in the various fields including but not limited to psychology, sociology, culture studies and literature.

These tracks offer a wide spectrum involving various sub-disciplines in the above-mentioned fields including clinical psychology, positive psychology, social psychology, political sociology, gender studies, comparative literature, psycholinguistics, and contemporary writing. While foregrounding recent developments in these fields, the colloquium simultaneously aims to create a space to critically engage with theories and to envision better policy and practice from an interdisciplinary lens. It encourages growing researchers to build a more contextualized understanding of the world and emerging areas of research by employing perspectives from other disciplines and by analyzing their intersections.

Research papers and posters are invited on the theme of the colloquium.
