The UAV Challenge 2018
The Icarus team representing UAE on behalf of Manipal Academy for Higher Education work together to draft and
construct an unmanned aerial vehicle to undertake the UAV Medical Express Challenge organized by the UAV Challenge
(https://uavchallenge.org), Australia. The team consisting of undergraduate students has cleared Deliverable 1 and is
preparing for deliverable 2.
The UAV is underway and will be sharing our progress here. The main challenge facing the competition are building the UAV that can fly about 100 Km/h plus and at the same time, fly for about 60Km distance.
The aim of the competition is to fly the UAV to Outback Joe, who is staying at his property about 15km away from the base station. The UAV has to return back to the base along with blood sample from Joe.
