Student Club Fest 2019

A fest being self explanatory of it's name, proved to be a rather satiating and entertaining event for the participants as well as the attendees. All of MAHE Dubai's clubs came together, shedding light upon the purpose of their clubs, displaying their talents and passions all in one platform!

The literary club ‘Snippets’ conducted a quiz competition based on literature named ‘LIT TRIVIERA’. Four teams participated in this university level competition with each team having two members. The winning team were awarded with mementos and E-certificates while the teams in the second and third position were awarded with only E-certificates. 

 

‘Orator’s Order’, the debate club of MAHE Dubai Campus has around 50 members. The members showed great interest and enthusiasm in attending the regular meetings and making suggestions. The club played an active role in encouraging students to participate in public speaking events and shed their inhibitions and innermost fears while doing so. Students from across the Schools have been members of this club over the past three months. Ayman Sayed and Saba have been very responsible office bearers of this club. In the Student Club Fest Dec 2019, the Debate Club hosted two events ‘Let it Go’ and ‘Guess Who’ which were well appreciated and interesting

Black and White Productions brought much needed attention to child and sexual abuse; through their emotive mono-act and short stage play.

 

 

Watch out for the following events by these fantastic clubs next year : 

  1. Arabic Calligraphy Competition:  Arabic Calligraphy competition has been scheduled for the Non-Arabic Speaking students to be tentatively held in the 3rd week of Feb 2020, MAHE Dubai.

    Iftar Party: the clubs are intending to organize a grand Iftar Party in the 3rd week of Ramadhan / May 2020. 

  2. Black & White Production plans to present an original scripted, 10- minute play at Dubai’s theatre festival “Short and Sweet” in February 2020. 

  3. COSW plans to conduct a training session on sign language and awareness sessions on learning disorders in the next semester.
