Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai is delighted to announce that Dr. Sampath Suranjan and Dr. Sachidananda from the School of Engineering & IT, along with Mechanical Engineering students Kunal Ashok Mulchandani, Arpana S. Biradar, and faculty collaborators from MIT Manipal, have co-authored a research paper published in Scientific Reports, a prestigious Quartile 1 (Q1) journal.
The paper, titled
“Impact of rotating fan and ultrasonic humidifier on the thermal performance of pyramidal solar still,”
investigates innovative methods to enhance the thermal efficiency and water production rate of pyramidal solar stills — a sustainable technology used for freshwater generation in arid regions. By integrating a rotating fan and ultrasonic humidifier, the study demonstrates significant improvements in distillation performance, offering promising insights for renewable-water solutions and eco-efficient engineering.
This publication reflects MAHE Dubai’s commitment to high-impact sustainability research while showcasing meaningful student involvement in international-level scientific work.
