Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai has partnered with Fluid Codes to establish an Ansys-powered Centre of Excellence for Engineering Design and Simulation, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry-aligned engineering education and fostering innovation-led learning in the UAE.
The Centre of Excellence was officially inaugurated at the MAHE Dubai campus in the presence of industry leaders, academic representatives, and distinguished guests from the engineering and technology sectors. The initiative is designed to provide students and faculty with access to advanced engineering simulation technologies, enabling them to gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools widely used across aerospace, automotive, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry by creating opportunities for experiential learning, applied research, and professional skill development. Through this partnership, students will be exposed to real-world engineering challenges while developing competencies in simulation-driven design, digital engineering, and innovation.
As part of the collaboration, MAHE Dubai students and faculty will gain access to the Ansys Academic Multiphysics Campus Solution License, which includes research and teaching licenses that support a broad range of engineering disciplines. The partnership also includes access to Ansys Associate Certification opportunities, helping students enhance their industry readiness and improve their career prospects in an increasingly technology-driven job market.
The Centre of Excellence will serve as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling students and faculty to engage in advanced simulation projects, industry-led workshops, technical training programs, and research initiatives. By integrating simulation technologies into the learning environment, the centre aims to strengthen problem-solving, design validation, and innovation capabilities among future engineers.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Dr. S. Sudhindra, Pro Vice Chancellor, MAHE Dubai highlighted the growing importance of digital engineering and simulation in modern product development and industrial innovation. As industries increasingly adopt technologies such as digital twins, artificial intelligence, advanced modelling, and predictive analysis, engineering graduates must be equipped with the skills required to thrive in Industry 4.0 environments.
The partnership with Fluid Codes further reinforces MAHE Dubai's commitment to providing students with future-focused learning opportunities that align with national and regional priorities around innovation, technology adoption, and workforce development. It also supports the university's broader vision of fostering industry-academia collaboration to create meaningful learning experiences and research outcomes.
The launch of the Ansys-powered Centre of Excellence reflects MAHE Dubai's continued investment in advanced learning infrastructure and its focus on preparing graduates for the evolving demands of the global engineering profession.
By combining academic excellence with industry expertise, the initiative will help nurture a new generation of engineers capable of driving innovation, supporting digital transformation, and contributing to the development of sustainable and technology-enabled solutions for the future.
