
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai has appointed Dr. Praveen Kumar Tamilselvan, Faculty, Manipal Business School, as the Head of the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE), effective immediately. Dr. Praveen will lead the Centre in addition to his current academic responsibilities.
To strengthen the Centre’s delivery and coordination, Dr. Chythanya Krishnan, Faculty, School of Engineering & IT (SOEIT), has been appointed as the Coordinator for the CIE, supporting the Centre’s operations, student engagement, and interdisciplinary programming.
Strengthening MAHE Dubai’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
The Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship plays a key role in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset on campus by enabling students to explore ideas, build prototypes, and engage with industry mentors and innovation-led initiatives. With this leadership appointment, MAHE Dubai reinforces its commitment to nurturing an innovation culture that connects learning with real-world problem-solving and venture thinking.
As Head of CIE, Dr. Praveen will guide the Centre’s strategic direction, initiatives, and partnerships, with a focus on student-led innovation, experiential learning, and entrepreneurship pathways. Dr. Chythanya will work closely with Dr. Praveen to coordinate programmes and create structured opportunities for students across disciplines to participate in innovation challenges, ideation workshops, and entrepreneurship-focused engagements.
