Prof. Sivaprasad Nandakumar, Faculty at the Manipal Institute of Liberal Arts, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai, has been selected as one of the winners of the UAE Wildlife Photography Challenge, organised by Emirates Nature–World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
His winning photograph will be featured in the Emirates Nature–WWF Annual Report, recognising his creative perspective and contribution to highlighting the UAE’s natural environment and wildlife.
As part of the recognition, Prof. Sivaprasad has also been invited to participate in an expert-led visit to Wadi Wurayah, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for its rich biodiversity and ecological significance.
The achievement reflects the diverse interests and creative pursuits of MAHE Dubai’s faculty beyond the classroom. Faculty engagement in areas such as photography, conservation, culture and the arts also brings wider perspectives into the learning environment, enriching the academic experience for students.
