Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai Campus has launched Beyond Boundaries, a new podcast series that brings together higher education and industry voices to unpack what “future-ready” really means in the UAE.
The launch comes as the UAE records its highest higher-education enrolment levels in a decade, with over 57,000 new students enrolled during the 2024–2025 academic year, representing a 13% year-on-year increase, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Episode 1 – Reimagining what universities must deliver
The inaugural episode features Dr. Nitesh Sughnani, Director – University Ratings at KHDA, in conversation with Dr. S. Sudhindra, Pro Vice Chancellor, MAHE Dubai. Together, they discuss how institutions can strengthen curriculum design, campus culture, and industry engagement to stay globally competitive, especially as more students choose the UAE as their study destination.
A key focus is how AI-powered personalised learning is reshaping education, shifting faculty roles toward mentorship, and raising the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning. The discussion also explores AI’s growing impact beyond STEM – including creative and liberal arts fields – reinforcing the need for interdisciplinary learning that blends technical fluency with critical and creative thinking.
