Students from the MECS Students Club at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai participated in the Rahma Pledge initiative on 16 October 2026, supporting Careem delivery riders through a community-focused activity.
Organised by Careem in collaboration with MAJRA (National CSR Fund), the Rahma Pledge aims to recognise and support delivery workers who play an essential role in keeping communities connected.
As part of the initiative, MAHE Dubai students & staff distributed 250 reusable water bottles to Careem delivery riders at a designated Careem location.
The activity provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with delivery workers and express appreciation for their contributions to everyday life in the UAE.
Aligned with the UAE's Year of Family 2026, the initiative reflected the values of compassion, solidarity and community support, encouraging students to recognise the importance of caring for individuals who contribute to society.
The distribution of reusable water bottles also reinforced the importance of practical, sustainable initiatives that support everyday well-being.
Through its participation in the Rahma Pledge, MAHE Dubai continued to encourage student involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, promoting empathy, civic engagement and meaningful contributions beyond the classroom.
The initiative highlighted MAHE Dubai's commitment to nurturing socially responsible students who actively contribute to the well-being of the wider community.
