Students from the School of Engineering & IT, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai, have secured the First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up positions at the Middle East Engineering Recognition Awards (MEERA 2026) in the prestigious “Student Project of the Year” category.
Hosted by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) UAE Sub-Chapter, MEERA 2026 recognises innovative, sustainable, and future-ready engineering projects that address critical industry and environmental challenges. The Student Project of the Year category celebrates outstanding ideas developed by university students, with a focus on measurable impact and regional relevance.
MAHE Dubai students were recognised for two innovative projects:
First Runner-Up

Second Runner-Up

The achievement reflects MAHE Dubai’s continued focus on applied learning, engineering innovation, sustainability, and industry-relevant problem-solving. Through project-based learning and faculty mentorship, students are encouraged to develop practical solutions that respond to real-world engineering needs.
MAHE Dubai congratulates the winning student teams, their mentors Dr. Rajiv Selvam and Dr. Sampath Suranjan Salins, and Dr. Pramod George, MAHE Dubai ISHRAE Student Chapter Coordinator, for their guidance and contribution to this achievement.
