The Manipal Institute of Liberal Arts (MILA) at MAHE Dubai launched MILA Unlocked: Media Edition, a new creative workshop series designed to give aspiring media and communication students a hands-on introduction to the creative industry.
The first workshop of the series focused on Social Media and Personal Branding and was led by Twinkle Stanly, MAHE Dubai alumna, influencer, and content creator. Drawing from her own journey as a graduate and digital creator, Twinkle shared practical insights into building an authentic online presence, creating engaging content, and understanding the evolving role of social media in personal and professional growth.
The session offered participants an opportunity to learn directly from someone who once walked the same campus halls and has since built a strong presence in the digital content space. Her story created a relatable and inspiring experience for students and prospective learners interested in media, communication, content creation, and digital storytelling.
MILA Unlocked: Media Edition is a four-part workshop series conducted across June, with each session led by industry professionals and creative practitioners. The initiative is designed to provide participants with a real taste of the creative world before committing to a degree, helping them understand what studying BA Media & Communication at MAHE Dubai involves.
Through experiential learning, industry exposure, and practical engagement, the series reflects MAHE Dubai's focus on education beyond the classroom. Participants gain the opportunity to explore creative disciplines, interact with professionals, and build confidence in their interests and abilities.
The launch of MILA Unlocked reinforces MILA's commitment to nurturing the next generation of creators, storytellers, communicators, and media professionals through relevant, practical, and future-focused learning experiences.
