The School of Life Sciences at MAHE Dubai marked World Food Day 2025 under the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future.” Experts from the UAE Food Bank and Dubai Municipality - including Ms. Shamsa Almutawa, Mr. Sajiv Raghavan and Mr. Michael Malonzo - shared practical insights on food safety, nutrition awareness and sustainable practices.
Students led a campus donation drive with contributions handed over to the UAE Food Bank, and took part in hands-on activities such as the Food Labels Challenge, Food Art Station and Sensory Taste Experience. The day reinforced the values of food security, sustainability and community responsibility, demonstrating how informed choices and collective action move us closer to a hunger-free future.
