We are happy to announce that Dr Jason Fitzsimmons, Academic President, MAHE Dubai and Dr Sophia Rahaman, Assistant Professor, MAHE Dubai have been successful in obtaining a joint research grant of A$ 66,448 (AED 173,000) from the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade along with Flinders University.

 

The grant is through the Council for Australian-Arab Relations with the project title being “Cross-cultural perspectives on Arab's gender equality: A study tour”. The study aims to enhance cross-cultural understanding of the barriers to, and opportunities for, effective gender diversity practices and management.

 

The project will involve a two-day virtual and physical event over the 7th and 8th of March 2022 at the Australian Pavilion and the Women’s Pavilion at EXPO 2020.

 

We take this opportunity to thank the effort of Dr Jason Fitzsimmons and Dr Sophia Rahaman on the success of the grant application and for developing the linkages with Flinders University in Australia.
